Yes. You can upgrade from Basic to Junior or Preferred at any time from your account page. If you downgrade, features gated to your previous plan will be disabled but your settings are preserved in case you upgrade again.

PetMatchPro integrates with PetPoint (Petango), RescueGroups, and AnimalsFirst. All three are supported across all plans. If you use a different system, tell us — we use that input to prioritize future integrations.

Yes, there’s no one-time or monthly investment for our Basic Plan. It is, and will always be, free.

The small monthly investment for the PetMatchPro Junior and Preferred Plans provides you with support resources, bug fixes, and the addition of new features and functions. These tasks are required to keep the plugin secure, relevant and focused on meeting your evolving needs to support increasing adoptions from your website.

We have no plans to offer a solution for any other content management solution or website builder. WordPress powers the vast majority of new websites on the internet. Contact us if you’d like some help migrating your current website to WordPress.

Yes. PetMatchPro is fully internationalized using WordPress i18n standards and ships with a complete Spanish (es_ES) translation. You can translate it into any language using standard WordPress translation tools.

PetMatchPro works with any properly coded WordPress theme. For advanced customization, Preferred plan users can create theme template overrides to fully control the HTML output. A Setup Wizard walks you through initial configuration regardless of your theme.

No. PetMatchPro is a data display and analytics platform, not an AI tool. It pulls real animal data from your shelter management system and gives you the tools to present, track, and share it effectively. You make the decisions — PetMatchPro gives you the data to make better ones.

No plugin can guarantee adoptions — that depends on your animals, your community, and your marketing efforts. What PetMatchPro does is remove the barriers between your visitors and your animals, give you analytics to understand visitor behavior, and provide tools like social sharing and SEO-friendly links to extend your reach. Shelters using these tools are better equipped to connect animals with adopters.

Adoptable animals are supported on all plans. Lost, found, and featured animal searches are available on Junior and Preferred plans. AnimalsFirst users also get a combined preferred/featured search and a lost+found combined search.

Available on the Preferred plan, the Analytics Dashboard tracks impressions, detail page views, click-through rates, and action clicks (email, phone, foster, adoption application) for every animal on your site. Use it to identify animals getting views but not applications, measure the impact of social media campaigns, and report real adoption metrics to your board.

When a visitor views an animal’s detail page, PetMatchPro can display other animals with similar attributes — same breed, age range, or size. If the animal they came to isn’t a fit, similar animals keep that visitor browsing instead of leaving. Available on Preferred plans.

When an animal gets adopted and its record is removed from your management system, visitors who click the old link see a congratulatory message instead of an error. They’re guided toward other available animals, turning a dead end into another match opportunity. Available on Preferred plans.

Instead of links like ?id=48291, each animal gets a clean URL like /adopt/bella-the-beagle/. These links are indexed by search engines, display well when shared on social media, and survive API data refreshes — so a link shared on Facebook Tuesday night still works Saturday morning. Visitors can filter your animals by breed, age, size, gender, and more with instant results — no page reloads. Combined with sorting options, it helps adopters find their match in seconds. Available on Junior and Preferred plans.

Visual badges displayed on search results — like new arrival, special needs, house-trained, or good with kids — so visitors can scan and identify their best match at a glance without clicking into every profile. Available on Junior and Preferred plans.

Generate a printable shelter or adoption event poster for any animal, complete with a QR code linking directly to that animal’s page on your website. Great for adoption events, bulletin boards, and volunteer handouts. Available on Junior and Preferred plans.
