PetMatchPro was born out of firsthand shelter experience — cold, damp nights trapping feral cats, countless adoption events, thousands of social media posts, and the daily frustration of watching potential adopters bounce off clunky iframe embeds that didn’t represent the animals or the organizations serving them.
We understood, from our own experience, the difficulty in getting animals with special needs adopted. But we discovered there’s a permanent, forever home for virtually every one of them — provided that website visitors can find them.
Our History
From Iframe Frustration to Full-Featured Platform
We grew tired of the underperforming solutions provided by PetPoint and others — external widgets that stripped your brand, broke on mobile, couldn’t be tracked, and showed ads for services that weren’t yours.
So we used our technical skills to build something better. PetMatchPro started as a single PetPoint integration in 2018 and has grown into a full-featured adoption platform supporting three data management partners, analytics, SEO, and tools designed specifically for how shelter marketers actually work.

We built PetMatchPro to be affordable for organizations of every size. Our Basic Plan is — and always will be — free. It replaces the iframe and gives your visitors a branded, mobile-friendly search experience on your WordPress site.
The Junior Plan adds full filtering, sorting, multiple photos and video, social sharing, and event posters. The Preferred Plan adds analytics, similar animal recommendations, SEO-friendly URLs, adoption celebration pages, API caching, and direct access to our development team.

Rick Barron
Co-Founder
Rick has been very active in leading Cincinnati’s transition to a no-kill community since 2013 and a committed supporter of his wife’s rescue efforts since their marriage in 2002. He’s worked adoption events, done transports, argued for changed with County Commissioners and opened his home to more fosters (some remained) than can be counted. PetMatchPro is a way for him to share what he’s done individually with rescue and shelters all over the country.
Ben Hanania
Co-Founder
Ben’s a cat guy, has two at home and manages a colony of strays around the office. He enjoys cats that love showing their love by sitting across his chest while working at the computer. Ben’s relatively new to the world of rescue and sheltering, but has always rescued vs. buying from a pet store. He has a cat in the office and treats them and his outside colony like the kings and queens of his castle.
Jamie Sanchez
Lead Developer
Jamie is the technical creative genius behind the delivery of the PetMatchPro plugin. She took Rick’s concepts and delivered a world-class solution for use by shelters and rescues of all sizes. Jamie has been with us for over a decade, delivering more technology than we can begin to count. She’s an avid pet lover and parent and is looking forward to growing her plugin “baby” to meet the needs of ever more organizations in their effort to increse adoptions.
